October...A warm welcome to all our new children and their families. We have enjoyed getting to know the children over the past few weeks and have been so pleased with how well they have settled in. Our existing children have done a great job at making them feel at home, showing and talking to them about our values and routine. Whilst the weather is still being kind to us we have enjoyed exploring our many gardens. We are taking responsibility for caring for our guinea pigs, Shortcut and Barnaby, feeding and cleaning them out as well as learning how to hold and stroke them. We like to dig in the mud patch and use mud, bark, leaves and petals in the mud kitchen. We have enjoyed exploring our immediate surroundings, the Adventure shed, school tee-pee and school grounds. The caravan is a popular place to play and we have adapted it to suit our interest in role play, creating a caravan cafe to develop communication and language skills as well as emergent writing skills.
