Finance Committee

This committee meets regularly to consider information on financial performance and take appropriate action to ensure ongoing viability.  It also deals with Human Resources and infrastructure related items.


Terms of reference include:

  • Appraising different expenditure options

  • Monitoring and adjusting in-year expenditure

  • Ensuring accounts are properly finalised at year end/reviewing outturn with the Local Authority

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of financial decisions

  • Ensuring there are effective and appropriate systems of internal financial control.
