As the term progressed we continued our interest in birds and welcomed Luke, from Wye falconry, who brought along many wonderful birds of prey. This sparked our interest in where bird's live and what they eat. We created bird's nests and bird feeders. We explored the shape of nests and investigated where circles are found and how to make circles. We talked about how the change in weather affects birds and then explored the changing weather ourselves, discussing the clothes we need to keep ourselves warm and dry when playing in the snow or wind and rain. We explored the ice that we found around the garden and made our own frozen decorations, which we watched melt in the spring sunshine.
