Volcanic Explosion Art Final Product - November 2017
Inspired by a British artist, Nick Rowland, the children re-created his volcanic explosion, concentrating on the lava first through flicked brush strokes and a mixture of red, orange and yellow. After drying, the children put out a template of a volcano before removing this to cover their work. They then used pipettes to a drip effect. The final results are amazing! Well done Year 3!
In class 3 we celebrated British Science Week by investigating what type of drink would make the best exploding potion. Water and squash were unsuccessful so we tried again with only fizzy drinks and learnt that Diet Coke makes a fantastic explosion!
