River Carnival Saturday 29th April

It's the annual Hereford River Carnival on Saturday 29th April. This year is going to be even bigger and better, including a Friday night performance around the cathedral and on the river, as well as a Nozstock stage on the Saturday and the regular dog show, performance tents, food village and more!

The theme for the next three years is based around the Mappa Mundi and the mythical beasts that it portrays. As in previous years, we are planning to take part in the Saturday carnival procession and then join in the festivities on Castle Green and Bishop's Meadow. This year, Class 6 will lead our procession with African dance and drums - they have started to work on their rhythm and moves this week and it already sounds fantastic!

We need to make a start on building our large willow structure to carry in the procession.

Check out the River Carnival website for information about the event: www.rivercarnival.org.uk. including a special mention of Madley Primary School as 'Wye winner' for our amazing participation last year on the streets and the river!
